The short version
We collect as little as possible. We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We use your email only to send the newsletter you signed up for. If you post a resume, we show your LinkedIn profile — not your email. You can remove your data anytime by emailing us.

What we collect and why
Newsletter subscribers
When you subscribe to the Weekly Tombstone, we collect your email address. We use it to send the newsletter. Nothing else. We do not share it with third parties.
Resume submissions
When you post a resume, we collect:
- Your first name and last initial
- Your role, previous company, skills, location, and bio
- Your LinkedIn profile URL
- Your availability status
We do not collect or publish your email address from resume submissions. Your LinkedIn URL is displayed publicly on your listing — this is intentional and you agreed to it by submitting. All other information you provide is displayed publicly as part of your listing.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics that do not use cookies, do not track you across sites, and do not sell your data. We do not use Google Analytics.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data — ever
- We do not run advertising or let advertisers access your information
- We do not track you across other websites
- We do not use cookies for tracking (only functional cookies if required)
- We do not share your email with third parties
Data storage and security
Resume submissions and newsletter emails are stored in a secured Postgres database (Neon). We take reasonable precautions to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects you, we will notify you promptly.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data at any time
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time
- Request removal of your resume listing at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email undertaker@aitombstone.com. We will respond within 5 business days.
Children
AITombstone is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site grows. If we make material changes, we'll note the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
